Slipper Care: Washing Instructions and Maintenance

We recommend you wash your slippers no more than once per year.

Less frequent washing is better as water will degrade the leather soles over time. You can also spot wash them.
Machine washcold, on gentle cycle. Stress on COLD water. Any heat in the water will shrink the wool.
Hang to dry - do NOT put them in the dryer, this will shrink the wool.
Or
Hand wash/spot wash coldhang dry.

If you machine wash:
After taking them out of the machine, put them on immediately while they are wet and stretch them out a bit. The agitation of the machine shrinks them a little, but they will stretch out again as you wear them. Best to give them an initial stretch while they're wet, though.

After a day of air drying, we recommend turning them inside out to dry the insides as well.

To keep them looking sharp throughout the year...
Since our slippers are made with 100% merino wool, they will naturally fray a little bit as you wear them.

Ever heard of a fabric shaver?
These handy little devices are able to shave off any excess fibres on your slippers as well as any other garment you may own and are a worthy investment for your wardrobe.
Shave your slippers with one of these and they will look brand new. Otherwise, you can trim the outsides with scissors from time to time as necessary.
